Not too long ago the newest Halloween sequel produced by Blumhouse completed production. Slated for an October 19 release date, many fans have been pondering as to when the first footage will be shown and as to when more plot details would be announced. Recently Danny McBride revealed some new details in an interview at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, TX that will at least serve up an appetizer for fans. McBride did confirm the rumor of the film taking place after the original Halloween, and also threw in that they will pay homage to the list of sequels that followed the original 1978 Halloween.

This is very exciting news for Halloween fans and the anticipation continues. Halloween will star Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role as Laurie Strode along with Nick Castle once again as Michael Myers. Other cast members include Virginia Gardner, Will Patton, Toby Huss, Miles Robbins, Jefferson Hall, Andi Matichak and Dylan Arnold.
