There is just something about a film involving zombies and strippers that brings a colossal smile to my face. Peelers did a great job executing some bloody good fun throughout its ninety-five-minute run. We begin with Blue Jean (Wren Walker) who is in the midst of selling her strip club which has housed some fascinating strippers; one of which is pregnant and is due any day. Another stripper “Baby” (Nikki Wallin) reveals during her act exactly why she is wearing a diaper; I still think the infected individuals are far more hideous that these peculiar strippers. One major breaking point for this film that sets is apart from other zombie flicks (besides the strippers) is the kill mechanisms. In most zombie films we witness the undead biting and sometimes clawing at their victims, in Peelers these creatures not only bite and tear they use anything found as a weapon of destruction.
All in all, Peelers was a decent flick, and it was quite entertaining. In the past, I have found that most films of this caliber warrant better acting. However, the film had some pretty decent acting and good direction. Hitched with a few jump scares, tons of gore, the film had a lot of humor mixed in that made the film enjoyable. Peelers isn’t your standard zombie flick, and that is okay, I have seen far worse. Overall I give the film 9 out of 10 stars, I have already found myself recommending this gory film to friends.
Peelers is now available on VOD Platforms! If you want some disgusting & sexy entertainment, this is the movie for you!
