‘The Control Group’ – Starring Chucky Himself, Brad Dourif!

Yes, folks, you read the title correctly! The new film from Wild Eye, The Control Group, is starring the one and only Chucky from the Child’s Play series, Brad Dourif! Created at an estimated 1 Million dollar budget, the film sounds pretty enlightening, and I am very pleased that we have moved away from the crazed zombie scene that we have come so accustom too. The only strikingly odd thing about this film is the fact it has a 2014 creation date and a release date in 2017; I wonder what happened? Anway it appears that our biggest player in this film is Dourif, and I am always “down” to check out anything he is involved with. Check out the press release below along with our photo gallery and trailer below. Let us know in the comments below on how you feel about The Control Group. The DVD is planned for a May release and is available now on several VOD/Digital platforms.

From The Press Release:

New York, NY – Wild Eye Releasing has announced the North American Cable and Digital HD release of Peter Hurd’s The Control Group. Starring Brad Dourif (The Child’s Play series, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, The Lord of the Rings) as a mad scientist, The Control Group follows kidnapped coeds as they attempt to escape from his grasp.  Writer-director Peter Hurd’s debut feature is now available on cable and digital platforms, including iTunes, Dish Network, Vudu, Xbox, Google Play, and YouTube.  A DVD release is planned for May.

Synopsis:

Five college students wake up in an abandoned, locked-down insane asylum – with no idea how they got there and no means of escape. They discover that they are the subjects of secret experiments, but these tests have awakened something that cannot be explained by science. The group must now fight to escape both the human and supernatural threats if they are to survive and break out of their prison.
