Way back in 1989, which seems like yesterday, The Tales From The Crypt TV series lit up thousands of television sets everywhere, and viewers experienced terrifying tales from The Crypt Keeper for seven seasons. Fans of the series can now rejoice, news of M. Night Shyamalan taking on the role of “revamping” the series which will air on the TNT Network. The trailer for the new series features commentary from Shyamalan and really gave off a creepy vibe! The series was very successful in its run and with the odd world of Shyamalan and his experience I believe the new Tales From The Crypt series will do quite well, and the excitement has already swept the interwebs.

In the video trailer montage M. Night Shyamalan had this to say about the series:

“Tales from the Crypt was always kind of a forbidden fruit of my childhood. It was edgy. I think it was ahead of its time. This dark, ironic tone is probably the thing that draws me to this source material and really where I am as a storyteller.What if we did an evening of television, the gateway to all the best genre TV. You can do drama, humor, a reality show for half an hour, a ten-minute short. You’re going to sit with us the whole evening, a destination for the highest level of storytelling. The Cryptkeeper is definitely going to be a part of the evening. Someone that draws us in, like the dark Walt Disney. This is like candy for me.”

At some point in 2017, a premiere date will be announced.
