Review: THE NEON DEAD

If you like your horror with a touch of the ridiculous and weird, then the new film from Torey Haas, THE NEON DEAD is exactly what you’re looking for. If you are a stoner, black-light poster, metal kind of horror fan, this is the perfect movie for you!

The Neon Dead 2Allison (Marie Barker) is a business college grad and you know what that means…she’s unemployed. While getting ready for a job interview, she finds a weird, glowing zombie in her bathroom. And there will be more, oh yes…there will be more. Thinking like a rational person, she calls a ghost exterminator service, Desmond and Jake: Professional Paranormal Investigators, to come help with the problem. Since they are professionals, they of course need Allison’s help and the three educate themselves for a battle with crazy demons lead by Z’athax (which sounds like a video game).

The Neon Dead 7That is pretty much all there is to this film. Weird zombie-demons and day glow but that isn’t a bad thing. It’s so ridiculous that you can’t help but have a good time! The film is made with an ultra low budget but that only adds to the awesome weirdness of it all. So again, if you want a horror film that will make you laugh, this is for you!
